Ecaddie Condition Rating Guide

That’s why we take great care in evaluating each club before offering it to you. We personally handle each club, clean it, repair it if necessary, and sometimes even regrip it to ensure that it’s ready to play.

Here at Ecaddie we have created our own inhouse rating guide to help you make an informed decision when choosing your clubs. We check the head, shaft, and grip and highlight any signs of wear and tear. From drivers to fairway woods, hybrids, irons, putters and wedges, we will provide you with an honest and detailed evaluation of each club’s condition.

So, whether you’re looking for a new club to add to your bag or simply looking for a replacement for one that’s worn out, you can trust us to provide you with an honest opinion!

Brand New – This golf club has never been used and is in flawless condition. The club shows no signs of wear or damage and is often still in its original packaging. A 10/10 condition rating is a hole-in-one for any golfer.

As New – Almost as good as new. You might spot only the lightest of usage marks, but nothing that takes away from its superb condition. With hardly any rounds under its belt. This club is in top-notch condition, ready to experience its first birdie chase.

Excellent – This club shows minimal signs of use and will be well-maintained. Expect to see very light cosmetic marks on the head, sole or face. The shaft may have minimal markings such as very light scratches and wear to the graphics or labels, but no sign of bag rub. Grips are still tacky with plenty of rounds left in them.

Good – The head, sole and face of the club will display signs of play marks from regular use but still is in good condition. It will have no major marks or paint chips. The shaft show signs of some cosmetic wear. Steel shafts may have frayed stickers. but no significant damage to the chrome layer. Graphite shafts may have light scratching or minor bag wear marks. Grips may have lost some tackiness, but they still have life left in them. This club is a good option for someone looking for a good deal without prioritizing aesthetics.

Fair – This club has been well-used and shows signs of wear and tear. The club head will likely have some sky marks or small scratches, and the face may have lost some of its original finish. The shaft may show bag marks, but it is still in usable condition. Steel shafts may have minor marks or rust spots. The grips may have depression marks or signs of wear and may need to be replaced in the near future. This club is still playable, but it’s showing its age. It will need some TLC in the future to keep it performing well on the course.
